About This Position

Specialist - Community Impact Grants

Work location: 612 E. Lamar BLVD, Arlington, TX 76012 (Kaufman County)

Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Day Shift; Monday through Friday: 9:00AM - 5:00 PM, need to be flexible to do some activities off hours and potentially weekends (as needed).

What You Will Do:

Grant Program Activity Coordination

Coordinates an education initiative for guardians and family members of students within alternative education settings.

Establishes relationships with grant audience, organizations and coalitions, engaging in-person, through presentations, and by phone, email or home visits, as necessary.

Develops presentations and other materials for use during program-related events, facilitates small and large-group education, and disseminates programmatic and marketing materials.

Serves as programmatic liaison to program site.

Supports program by obtaining information, developing action plans, and reports.

Implements approved activities and ensures the continuation of the service or completion of each project phase.

Documents, details, and prepares reporting requirements, following guidelines.

Administrative Tasks

Participates in program development, planning and implementation.

Provides event coordination or assistance for meetings, trainings, etc.

Gathers data from several sources?? compiling the information into reports for the director, department leadership and staff.

Meets with the director, along with the program manager, to coordinate grant requirements.

Demonstrates accountability and responsibility by independently completing projects/assignments on time and providing timely responses to requests for information.

Performs other grant-related work as requested that is reasonably related to the employee's position, qualifications, and competencies.

Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings, and workshops.

Maintains confidentiality at all times.

What You Need:

Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Req And

Bachelor's Degree Strongly preferred Pref

Experience

2 Years To include experience coordinating community program activities, public speaking, completing activity reports, and partnering with external organizations for post-award grants administration. Experience providing education and navigation services to community members. Req

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, ability to problem solve, time management skills, detail-oriented, ability to work independently as well as with others, strong organizational & prioritization skills, and ability to motivate and inspire others, ability to complete required reports. Exceptional computer skills and ability to resolve in-depth inquiries related to grants management.

Bilingual (English/Spanish/ or other language speaking ability preferred)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Highly organized and excellent time management skills

Steadfast and dependable initiative-taker who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Sensitivity to the needs of individuals and families with financial hardships and from varied cultural backgrounds.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
