Performs advanced fiscal, accounting, and general ledger functions. Prepares budgets, financial forecasts, and research.
Essential Functions
• Manages fiscal and accounting functions; formulates and recommends policies and procedures to effectively administer programs.
• Maintains general ledger accounts; handles funds for units of small size/complexity; prepares general ledger journal entries.
• Prepares financial reports, invoices, schedules, or statements for review and approval.
• Establish and fund the capital construction accounts in General Ledger and the Job Cost system. Monitor financial status of capital construction projects.
• Prepares and reviews data and assigned accounts in preparation for internal and external audits; researches discrepancies in accounting data which includes auditing and analyzing fiscal data; resolves issues in coordination with others.
• Assists with the planning, coordination, and implementation of budgets.
• Interface with various university department personnel, Budget and Controller's Office and DGS Fiscal personnel on project funding.
• Properly capitalize projects assigned for closing. Communicate with Project Managers to insure that the costs on projects are accurate and within the scope of work.

Hiring Range: $20.50 to $25.62 per hour
