Part Time Groundskeeper/Groundsman at Tague Lumber of Philadelphia – Philadelpia, Pennsylvania

Tague Lumber is seeking a Part Time Groundskeeper/Groundsman for our Philadelphia yard who will perform a variety of tasks in and around the lumber yard while maintaining security and cleanliness of the location. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, and being part of a team that takes pride in safety, organization, and quality service.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Keep the location clean, organized, and free from loose debris including routine location walk throughs
• General facility cleaning including: trash removal, clearing debris, bathrooms, wiping counters, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, stain removal using chemical solutions
• Light landscaping including: weeding, mulching, etc.
• Facilities maintenance and light repairs
• Removing snow from walkways and parking lots
• Heavy lifting 50+ pounds
• Assist with loading, pulling, staging, or stocking materials/boxes/crates as needed
• Operation of hand tools
• Work in a safe manner using proper PPE when necessary for the task
• Place stock in appropriate warehouse locations
• Maintain a courteous, respectful manner working around customers, vendors other employees and supervisors.
• Performs other duties as assigned by General Manager or Yard Foreman

Working Conditions:
This position is based in a warehouse and outdoor yard environment and involves frequent lifting (including above shoulder height), walking, bending, standing, and carrying materials. Heavy lifting is required, and employees may be exposed to extreme hot and cold weather conditions.

• Must be able to work in outdoor/inclement weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
• Perform your duties in a safe manner and respect all equipment
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must be able to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
