The Role at a Glance

The Sr. Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing commercial storage projects within the warehousing facility to ensure client expectations are met from initiation through completion. Inventory accuracy, documentation, and route verification are maintained to support efficient operations and billing. Oversight of logistics staff and coordination with management and accounting are provided. Product quality, returns processing, dock organization, and client communication are upheld to ensure safe, consistent, and effective service delivery.

How You’ll Contribute

As a Sr. Logistics Specialist, you will manage commercial storage projects within the warehousing facility, ensuring client expectations are met from initiation through completion. You will maintain a comprehensive understanding of warehouse inventory, including all products and the electronic barcode inventory system. You will prepare required documentation, promptly email scanned paperwork to clients, and preserve accurate records to support efficient invoicing. You will assist with offloading inbound trailers, organize freight by lane, and scan shipments to verify accuracy against delivery routes.

In this role, you will provide oversight to logistics specialists, deliver daily project updates to depot management, and supply detailed project information to the accounting team for billing purposes. You will monitor active routes through Dispatch Track, conduct audits to ensure route and delivery data accuracy, and identify and escalate issues as necessary. You will perform product quality checks, inspect and repair exterior carton damage to protect product integrity, and assist with processing returns in coordination with depot leadership.

You will maintain frequent communication with clients to support satisfaction and long-term success, and you will assist with presentations to corporate prospects as needed. You will cross-train across warehousing functions to ensure operational coverage during absences and consistent service levels. You will need to maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient dock environment while supporting delivery crews, end-of-day cleanup, and overall operational needs as required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Functional Job Requirements

Education/Work Experience/Certificates

Two to four years of logistics experience in medium to high volumeAdvanced level of Microsoft ExcelFluent in English (written and verbal) with the ability to converse in Spanish

Functional Job Requirements

Must be able to regularly move around the office and warehouse. Must be able to work in a warehouse in varying temperatures. Must be able to regularly unload trailers of items up to 100 – 125 pounds (occasionally up to 300 pounds) using hand trucks and dollies. Must also be able to operate a computer and process paperwork. While this is a Tuesday through Saturday role (12pm – 9pm), you will be required to work the occasional Monday. About Hilldrup
