Marketing Coordinator

Department: Quality
Reports To: Chief Quality & Strategic Planning Officer

SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for facilitating projects within marketing and communication efforts conducted on behalf of the organization that are consistent with its mission, vision, and strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate marketing and communication-based projects aligned with our mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts for community outreach events, external campaigns, and internal projects.
  • Manage promotional items and organization for community events and employee engagement activities.
  • Utilize various formats, such as video clips and reels, to showcase the organization and employees.
  • Following the Marketing Plan, coordinate social media marketing activities- content creation, scheduling, and engaging with community members online.
  • Develop and maintain an approved marketing plan to develop, revise, share, organize, and oversee content for Welia Health’s blog, website pages and posts and social media channels, that primarily include LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Monitor and actively engage in relevant social discussions about the organization, its competitors, and the healthcare industry.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all marketing materials and mediums.
  • Proofread communication materials as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Maintain ethical standards during all marketing and public relations activities, valuing diversity and providing excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.


Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field is required.
A high level of computer competency is necessary, including Microsoft Office products, Google Workspace (G-Suite), and Hootsuite or other subscribed social media management program.

  • Preferred experience includes: knowledge healthcare industry regulations/compliance, Adobe Creative Suite (or other design software, e.g., Canva), video (full-length, shorts, and or reels) editing and WordPress website management.


Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, legal documents, and the like. Respond to inquiries/issues from community members, employees and managers as needed. Use excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to relate and communicate one-on-one to concerned citizens or employees.


Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.


Reasoning Ability
Ability to think strategically, use sound judgment and effectively problem-solve and analyze issues. Ability to decipher communications from distraught or disturbed individuals and gain control of emotionally charged or potentially volatile situations. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
