Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Q-Lab Corporation – Homestead, Florida

Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our Testing Services team in Homestead, FL. Reporting to the Field and Facilities Manager, this role will be responsible for shipping test specimens to customers. This activity is critical to customer perception about how well testing was performed, since this is often the only tangible product that Test Services provides. In addition to handling all outgoing shipments, this position is also responsible for maintaining the inventory for packing materials and for receiving and appropriately delivering all incoming shipments.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving Incoming Shipments
  • Review, document, and report incoming shipments for damage
  • Log any received goods
  • Deliver received goods to the appropriate teams or individuals
• Maintain Packing Materials
  • Organize the shipping supplies
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure inventory levels are at appropriate levels
• Packaging and Shipping
  • Organize, wrap, and pack test specimens for outgoing shipments
  • Utilize various carrier vendor software to properly label packages
  • Schedule pickups, as needed
• Customer Service
  • Track and correct shipments, as needed
  • Document extra fees (tariffs, import fees, etc.)
  • Call or email customers or vendors, as needed
  • Ensure shipping contact databases are maintained

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience in packaging and handling of shipments and in shipping software
• Demonstrated skill in inventory management
• Basic computer literacy and email experience
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ pounds

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Forklift experience or certification
• Experience in a customer service role
