Mechanical Engineer Internship - Racing at Ilmor – Plymouth, Michigan

Step into the fast lane of professional engineering with a hands‑on internship supporting Ilmor’s legendary 396 racing engine programs, including the NASCAR Truck Series and ARCA Race Series. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you’ll be part of a high‑performance, competition‑driven environment where precision, speed, and innovation are everything.

In this role, you will work alongside industry‑leading engineers and engine specialists to support design, development, testing, and continuous improvement activities for our elite racing engines. You’ll apply and expand your SolidWorks CAD skills to model components, update drawings, evaluate design changes, and assist with engineering documentation that directly impacts engine performance on race day.

M - F 8:00am - 4:30pm

On-Site in Plymouth, MI

Compensation: $18/hour

Dates: April/May through August
