About This Position
We are seeking an person with Wet Paint experienced to oversee our wet painting operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the wet paint application process, ensuring high-quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Monday -Friday
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise Painting Operations: Oversee the daily operations
of the wet paint department, ensuring all tasks are completed
efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage Team: Lead and manage a team of painters,
providing guidance, training, and support to ensure
optimal performance.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of paint application,
ensuring adherence to company standards and customer
specifications.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols and procedures
are followed, maintaining a safe work environment for all
employees.
• Inventory Management: Help manage inventory of paint and
related materials, ensuring adequate supplies are available
for production needs.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement
and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate with Departments: Work closely with other
departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely
completion of projects.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of painting operations,
including work orders, quality reports, and safety inspections.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent;
additional technical training or certification in painting or
coatings is a plus.
• Certifications: Wet paint inspection certifications are a plus,
similar to AMPP’s CPI level 1+
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of wet paint experience.
Ideal experience is 5+ years of painting in a manufacturing
environment. No initial supervisory experience is required,
but would be seen as a plus.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational
skills. Proficiency in using painting equipment and tools.
Basic understanding of the Microsoft suite of applications
(Word, excel, outlook, etc…)
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of wet paint application
processes, materials, and safety regulations.
