Non-Emergency Wheelchair Driver

Location: Des Moines, IA/ Cincinnati, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $16–$18 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking dependable and compassionate Wheelchair Drivers to provide safe, reliable non-emergency medical transportation for patients in the Des Moines and Cincinnati area. Drivers will assist passengers requiring wheelchair transport to medical appointments, rehabilitation facilities, and other healthcare destinations. This position requires flexibility Monday-Saturday and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers using wheelchair-accessible vehicles
• Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle
• Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility devices
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with passengers and healthcare staff
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies
• Complete trip documentation as required

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely assist passengers with mobility challenges
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to pass background check, alcohol and drug screening
• Prior transportation or healthcare transport experience preferred but not required
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• PASS Driving Course
