Job Description
The Associate provides full support to one or more Lead Advisors & will primarily manage the execution of all of Lead Advisors’ recommendations, preparation & closure of client meetings. Those responsibilities include data collection for financial planning, investment analysis & operations, trade execution, investment account opening & maintenance, risk management implementation & service, note-taking, & drafting client communication. This position will allow the associate to get broad exposure to an integrated financial planning practice.
Responsibilities
Investments:
Service & maintain client accounts. Examples of this include bank change, beneficiary change, contribution/distribution amount change, & more
Take client requests for deposits and distributions, & more, from accounts & execute them
Responsible for input of brokerage & advisory trading of client accounts
Prepare & deliver account opening documents as well as any account maintenance documents
Insurance:
Take clients through the insurance underwriting process & complete ongoing service for risk management
Service & maintain client policies. Examples of this include bank change, beneficiary change, loan & loan repayment, payment details change, & more
Planning:
Managing the financial planning process including, data gathering, setting up the plan in the financial planning software, running various scenarios, & preparing the plan for presentation to the client
Attending client meetings as second chair, taking notes, & creating follow up emails
Regularly prepare supporting materials & sample reports for clients
Client Service:
Answer inbound phone & email inquiries
Respond and execute on requests for service & troubleshoot service issues
Proactively communicate with Advisors regarding work in progress
Other:
We required candidate to sit for and pass their Colorado Life & Health, SIE, Series 7, & Series 63 within their first 8 months of employment
Qualifications
Must have strong organizational & prioritization skills
Excellent follow-up & follow-through capabilities
Professional attitude, flexibility, demeanor, & appearance
Must be an above-average communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
Must have an understanding of investments & general financial knowledge
Previous work experience in the financial industry is preferred
BA/BS Degree required
Financial Planning/Finance/Economics/Business Major highly preferred
Life & Health, Series 7, Series 63 Preferred
Must be able to demonstrate ability to build & maintain client relationships and trust

Licensing Track
All associates must obtain Life & Health, SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 within the first 8 months of employment. All costs (study materials & exam) are covered by employer. Team members are allotted 1 hour per day (11am-12pm) to use for studying and the rest of the studying must happen outside of regular business hours
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this role is $60,000-$75,000 base salary with the below benefits
$10,200 annual stipend for health, dental, and vision insurance
Profit Share eligibility with a 6-12 month waiting period, depending on when hired. Calculation is based on profit, base salary, and tenure. There is a cash component and a Long-Term Incentive component to the compensation plan. This typically ranges from 15-40% of your base salary in cash awards.
60% LTDI, up to $7,000/m
$250 annual physical wellness stipend
3.5% 401k match
Unlimited PTO after 2 years of service
