Due to Michigan public schools requirements, individuals with theft, violence or drug related backgrounds will not qualify for employment.
When and Where is the job located:
We have the following school custodian opportunity available in the Wayland Union Public School District.​
  • Create your own schedule Monday-Friday
  • Be available for at least 3 days a week and 3 hours per night
  • $15.50 per hour
  • This position is for on-call and open positions throughout Wayland Union Schools.

What does this job look like:
We serve our public school customers by completing the following tasks for general cleaning with additional leadership responsibilities for supervisor positions
  • Vacuuming
  • Mopping
  • Dusting
  • Cleaning restrooms
  • Removing trash
  • Ensure all exterior doors are secured by completing perimeter door pulls
  • Follow up and close out of customer concerns
  • Walk building to ensure quality standards are upheld
  • Training of new team members
  • Lead, manager and hold team accountability
  • This is NOT a desk job as you will be on your feet, moving and cleaning alongside your team members
  • Travel using your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement and paid drive time throughout the school district
  • As well as other cleaning task as assigned
