About This Position
The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse and production environments. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials accurately and in a timely manner to support operational needs. The Material Handler operates material handling equipment to move goods safely while maintaining inventory accuracy and organization. This position works closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure materials are available to support manufacturing schedules and shipping requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts to move materials within warehouse and production areas.
- Perform order picking, packing, and material staging to support shipping, receiving, and production operations.
- Receive incoming materials and inspect shipments for accuracy and quality, reporting discrepancies or damages when identified.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using barcode scanning tools and warehouse management systems.
- Deliver materials and components to production lines as required to support continuous manufacturing operations.
- Maintain proper storage and organization of materials within warehouse and production areas.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support shipping and receiving schedules and assist with material movement during peak operational periods.
- Work overtime as needed to support production and shipping deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating basic material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and order picking.
- Ability to read labels, scan barcodes, and follow inventory procedures.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials in a warehouse or production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or assembly line environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime when required.

Work is performed in a warehouse and production floor environment within a manufacturing facility. The role may require standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and moving materials, and operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. Employees may be required to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation. The position requires adherence to safety procedures and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
