As a Bartender you will be attending the bar, taking orders, and inputting them to our POS. We want servers who are friendly, efficient, and able to bring energy to every interaction. We want our Bartenders to feel equipped to handle even the busiest of days, with support from a full restaurant of staff.

Our bartenders are a vital part of our day to day operations. Our Bartenders, in addition to server duties and responsibility for a section of tables, will also be in charge of making specialty drinks for tables. Following recipes for our cocktails to be able to give guests a taste of our signature Mustard Seed drinks!

As a Bartender you will have responsibilities such as:

• Understand and be able to recommend and describe restaurant dishes to guests
• Enter table/ bar orders into the POS
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the restaurant.
• Upsell special menu items or deserts
• Prepare drinks for customers by following recipes for signature cocktails
• Bring a spark of energy to every shift!

And have following required knowledges, skills, and ability:

• Ability to smile and communicate clearly with guests.
• Able to arrive at work on time and reliably.
• Ability to stand on your feet for a long time.
• Be able to answer the phone and take orders efficiently and with a positive attitude.
• Experience in front of house responsibilities
• Able to learn and recite menu items.

The Mustard Seed was started in 1978 in Missoula, Montana by a group of friends and family. Included in that group were sisters Betty and Nancy Tokumoto and Betty's husband, David Hall. Betty and Nancy grew up in Okinawa, Bangkok, and Hawaii and attended college in Oregon; so, they have a unique ability to blend the cooking styles of the Far East with the tastes of the Pacific Northwest. Our recipes were created or inspired by the Tokumoto sisters.
