This role offers the opportunity to transform complex datasets into actionable insights through advanced visual analytics and enterprise-level dashboard development. The Senior Data Analyst will partner with internal teams and external clients to design scalable data models, perform sophisticated SQL analyses, and deliver high-impact visualizations that drive informed decision-making. You will play a critical role in translating business requirements into technical solutions while maintaining data integrity, reliability, and performance. This position operates in a fast-paced, remote environment with occasional travel to client sites and involves supporting federal, state, and commercial projects. Design, develop, and maintain interactive, high-performance dashboards using Tableau and other BI platforms.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate complex business needs into actionable data solutions.
Build scalable data models and ETL processes to prepare diverse datasets for analysis.
Create compelling visualizations that simplify trends, highlight insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
Perform data quality checks, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure the integrity and reliability of reports.
Continuously optimize dashboards for performance and adopt emerging BI best practices to enhance analytics capabilities.
Support both client-facing projects and internal initiatives, contributing to strategic data solutions and reporting excellence.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in business intelligence, dashboard development, and data visualization using Tableau and at least one other BI platform (Power BI, Looker, Sigma).
Advanced SQL skills with experience cleaning, transforming, and performing complex calculations on large datasets.
Expertise in advanced BI concepts, including calculations, data blending, parameter actions, and performance tuning.
Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt).
Ability to integrate BI tools with APIs, cloud platforms, and third-party data sources.
Preferred knowledge of Python or R, machine learning, predictive analytics, or statistical modeling.
U.S. work authorization required; ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with 3+ years of consecutive U.S. residency).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights for diverse audiences.
