Hoefer Welker is looking for a HR Generalist to support our overall company growth, responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management, this position requires a highly motivated, passionate professional with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. A clear desire to work within a team environment with an aptitude to execute in a changing professional environment are highly desired attributes. This position assists as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations. This position also provides support to the Director as needed on high level projects.
Essential Functions:
- Daily maintenance of health and wellness plans, including enrollments and terminations. Ensure the proper processing of required documents through payroll and insurance providers.
- Serve as the COBRA liaison for the company on all benefit plans with COBRA vendor.
- Manage FML, STD, and LTD process for the firm.
- Manage open enrollment period during 4th quarter of each year. Arrange for onsite representation by providers. Coordinate changes with carriers.
- Act as a liaison with insurance carriers and foster effective relationships with client representatives and ensure plan compliance.
- Strive to ensure employee understanding of benefits programs by regularly generating communication and counseling employee as situations arise, refer difficult or complex complaints to director as needed.
- Work with Studio leaders to manage the collection and review of weekly timesheets for company.
- Second review and back of the processing of semi-monthly payroll and benefit elections to include 401k, flex and HSA transactions.
- Conduct the benefits overview of the new-employee orientation to ensure employees gain an understanding of company benefit plans and enrollment provisions. Counsel employees on plan provisions to be able to make informed benefit decisions.
- Assist with the affirmative action and ERISA reporting requirements.
- Annual firm compliance reporting to include EEO-1 and Vets 100 reports.
- Verify and ensure accuracy of annual ACA and W-2 forms with payroll provider.
- Manage quarterly performance review process to ensure smooth ongoing and timely process.
- Coordinate employee transition and termination paperwork.
- Assist with annual career fair recruitment, data collection, interview and selection process.
- Assist with compliance in federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Lead the development of HRIS systems, ATS and Talent module.
Job Requiremetns
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of Human Resources experience; experience in the A&E Industry a plus.
Certifications/Licensure:
SHRM or HCRI certification desired.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with HRIS system administration, Deltek Talent a plus. Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere, strong written and oral communication skills.
