Responsibilities
The Social Media Intern will assist the Marketing and Communications (MarComm) team in executing the company’s social media strategy across various platforms. The intern will gain hands-on experience in creating, curating, and scheduling content, while supporting the day-to-day management of social media channels. This role will provide an opportunity to learn about social media marketing, content creation, audience engagement, and performance analysis. The intern will work closely with the Communications team, supporting ongoing campaigns and projects with the goal of enhancing brand visibility and engagement.
Social Media Content Creation & Management
- Assist in creating social media content (images, captions, videos, etc.) for platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and others.
- Help schedule and publish posts on various social media channels, ensuring consistent voice and brand alignment.
- Assist with content curation, identifying relevant industry news and trends to share on social media.
- Review and monitor social media channels for engagement, comments, and messages, responding as appropriate or escalating to the team.
Campaign Support
- Help with the execution of social media campaigns, ensuring content is aligned with campaign objectives.
- Assist in brainstorming content ideas for upcoming campaigns, events, and promotions.
- Track and report on campaign performance and social media metrics, assisting in analyzing results and suggesting improvements.
Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with the Communications team to develop ideas and support the team’s broader strategy.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to gain insight into integrated communication efforts.
- Learn and contribute to social media best practices and how they align with business goals.
Social Media Reporting
- Assist with compiling performance reports on social media content and campaigns, tracking key metrics such as engagement, reach, and impressions.
- Contribute to analyzing social media data to inform future content and campaign strategies.
Learning Opportunities
- Gain hands-on experience with social media marketing and digital content creation.
- Learn about brand strategy and how social media contributes to overall marketing efforts.
- Develop skills in social media analytics and performance reporting.
- Collaborate with professionals in the Communications and MarComm teams, gaining exposure to various aspects of integrated communications.
Qualifications
Experience and Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and their tools and features.
Basic writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an understanding of brand voice and messaging.
Strong attention to detail and ability to create high-quality, error-free content.
Creative mindset and eagerness to contribute ideas to social media content.
Interest in learning about social media marketing, digital engagement, and brand strategy.

Duration, Location, and Hours
- This is a summer internship, expected to last approximately 8 weeks.
- Flexible working hours, with an expectation of 30-40 hours per week.
- This internship requires in-office attendance and collaboration.
- Compensation: $23/hr - $27/hr
