Global Macro Junior Contractor
About the PositionThe Global Macro Junior Contractor will report to our Associate Practice Leader for Global Economics and North America. They would get a unique perspective on how macroeconomic and political trends impact the business plans and operations of the worlds largest multinationals. They will also have an opportunity to monitor, analyze, and create a view on all the major ongoing political and economic issues across North America and the global economy.
About the TeamThe analyst will be part of FrontierViews global research team. The global research team produces all syndicated content for FrontierViews client base of several thousand senior executives at multinational organizations. The team combines regional knowledge, macroeconomic and political insights, and business acumen to provide impactful analysis, forecasts, and executional advice for a senior executive audience. They work in close collaboration with the commercial team in supporting FrontierViews growth strategy and ongoing client relationships.

The Global Macro Junior Contractor will conduct ongoing research and analysis, including political analysis, economic research, and forecasting, and monitoring of market trends in North America as well as the broader global economy. They will receive daily coaching, feedback, and support as part of our collaborative, meritocratic team culture. They will be expected to create, maintain, and pressure test views on major issues relating to their markets, and to use these to advise senior executives at large multinationals.What To Expect In This Position:

- Monitoring and analyzing economic, political, and business trends
- Forecasting macroeconomic indicators & ongoing economic analysis
- Writing research deliverables that are concise and impactful for a senior executive audience
- Maintaining an up to date and evolving deck on the global economic outlook, both for global clients and as an input into regional level presentations
- Delivering research presentations to senior executive clients
- Collaborative work with other members of the global healthcare research team on global and regional-level special research projects
- A Bachelors degree from a well-regarded academic institution in Economics, Business, Regional Studies, or International Relations and a Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., international economics)
- 1-3 years of research experience in an academic, non-profit, or business context
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of macroeconomics through prior experience or relevant coursework
- Demonstrated ability to tackle new and unfamiliar topics; ability to get up to speed quickly and produce clear and compelling narratives for clients on those issues.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
- Experience in managing multiple projects at once; excellent time and project management skills
- Familiarity with or experience in the private sector
- Robust interpersonal, communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- A team-oriented mindset
