Electrical/ Electronics Engineer lll at UEC Advanced Electronics – Hanahan, South Carolina

Responsibilities & Duties

• Design, develop, and manage all aspects of low and high voltage batteries including battery management systems and thermal management.
• Advanced knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical engineering field
• Research and implement next-gen battery tech, charging solutions, and smart features.
• Integrate electrical components with vehicle hardware and software for networking protocols and smart monitoring.
• Create circuit designs, perform simulations (MATLAB, Simulink), and analyze data for performance and safety.
• Conduct hardware and functional testing, ensuring EMC compliance.
• Coordinate and direct the work of others

Skills and Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline plus minimum of 6 years related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex technical challenges in a fast-evolving industry.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external teams.
• Experience with electrical CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer), simulation software like MATLAB/Simulink, and potentially programming languages like C++ or Python.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, typing, screen work, assembling test setups, monitoring equipment,
• Occasional handling of batteries/equipment up to ~25–30 lbs
• Handling of small components and wiring
• Personal protective gear; strict electrical/chemical safety protocols
