Position Summary:
The UNMDepartment of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is eager to put together theright package for an individual with a passion for adult general psychiatry andteaching, coupled with an interest in joining a team of talented, caring andcommitted faculty members. Applicationsare being accepted for an academic faculty psychiatrist suitable forappointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor for aposition as an attending psychiatrist on our Adult General PsychiatryDivision's Outpatient Service, to include the Psychiatric Emergency Service. The successful candidate can take fulladvantage of opportunities available in our vibrant and active academiccommunity.

As an attendingpsychiatrist at the UNM Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, theperson selected will have a voice in developing the department's direction aswell as opportunities for multicultural clinical care and scholarly andcollaborative research activities across the Health Sciences campus. There are many opportunities for professionaldevelopment in leadership, administration, and education, including mentoringand supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees inrelated disciplines.
