Shift: Rotating 12-Hour Swing Schedule
At Fuji Vegetable Oil, we refine and blend over 100 varieties of high-quality, food-grade vegetable oils used in food products, cosmetics, candles, and other specialty applications. This is not a traditional assembly-line production role. Our Processing Technicians are part of a highly skilled refinery operation that requires attention to detail, initiative, and strong communication.

The Processing Technician supports the safe and efficient receipt, handling, refining, blending, packaging, and bulk loading of vegetable oil products. This role operates and monitors food-grade processing equipment and utility systems in a refinery environment.
The position requires flexibility, as work includes rotating 12-hour shifts covering days, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime based on operational needs.
Approximately 50% or more of the work is performed outdoors in a refinery setting.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor computer-controlled processing equipment
Communicate regularly with Control Room personnel to support refinery operations
Sample, measure, and monitor tank levels, pressures, and temperatures
Blend and transfer oils using valves and piping systems
Read and use tape measures and gauges accurately
Verify heat tracing, clear lines, and ensure proper routing of product
Receive, store, and handle chemicals, ingredients, and supplies safely
Perform startup, shutdown, freeze protection, and severe weather preparations
Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor mechanical maintenance
Respond to and clean oil spills when required
Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment
Maintain clean, organized, and food-safe processing areas
Support continuous improvement and additional operational needs as assigned
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior experience in manufacturing, refinery, industrial, chemical, or utilities environments strongly preferred
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Comfortable working at heights (catwalks and platforms up to 60 feet)
Ability to work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts
Strong initiative and attention to detail
Ability to read and follow safety rules and operating procedures
Comfortable completing logs and operational reports
Clear verbal communication skills (radio and face-to-face)
Basic math skills including fractions, percentages, and conversions
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Combination of indoor and outdoor refinery operations
Exposure to weather, elevated platforms, and moving machinery
Industrial noise (hearing protection provided)
Possible exposure to chemicals, steam, and confined spaces
Respiratory clearance required
