SiC Power Module Application Engineer – Application’s Team, Germany (m/f/d)

We are looking for SiC Power Module Application Engineer who will join the Applications Team and help us make the world a better place through innovation, which means we’re taking risks and questioning conventional thinking, and developing new technologies and ways of doing business – leading the way, every single day.

Your day-to-day – We do what others say can’t be done

  • Assist customer design engineers to successfully incorporate Wolfspeed Silicon Carbide die, discrete devices, and power modules in their products. Provide remote and on-site customer support.
  • Be a leader in designing, developing, and documenting reference and demonstration platforms for SiC Power product target applications.
  • Develop and present materials at technical seminars, tradeshows and distributor trainings.
  • Support new product launches, including training for Wolfspeed sales engineers and regional channel partners.
  • Provide marketing department and product managers with consolidated customer requirements to define new products and product enhancements.

Your Profile – Ready to join the Pack?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree with relevant experience.
  • Understanding of power circuit topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC).
  • Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout for minimal stray inductance, placement strategies for high switching speed, and high-power applications.
  • Experience in developing thermal management approaches for power electronics.
  • Experience in simulation tools (Spice, PLECS, etc) for power conversion.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
