About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Backend Software Engineer to play a critical role in scaling ManageCasa’s platform and advancing our enhanced features. This role will have a direct, measurable impact on customer experience, system reliability, and operational efficiency.

You will work closely with the CTO and other engineers, developing the backend systems that power our core product, integrations, and emerging AI functionality.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and core platform features
  • Collaborate closely with the team to design, implement, and test internal and external APIs
  • Develop and support backend systems that enable workflows, automation, and insights
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues to improve performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to experimentation, measurement, and continuous improvement in a lean startup environment
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of backend engineering experience at a web-based technology company (startup experience preferred)
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python, preferably using Django
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integrations, such as:
    • Working with AI APIs (LLMs, automation services, or data-driven systems)
    • Supporting AI features through backend pipelines, data processing, or orchestration
  • 1–2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and experimentation or A/B testing
  • Strong knowledge of modern data stores and infrastructure, including:
    • Aurora / MySQL
    • ElasticSearch or OpenSearch
    • Redis or similar caching layers
  • Strong project ownership, task prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills
