About This Position
Position Summary
The Manager, Supply Chain Practice – Labor Management Software (LMS) leads and supports client engagements focused on Labor Management software implementations and associated Industrial Engineering work, primarily within Distribution Center environments (including union and non-union operations). This role is accountable for successful multi-site delivery aligned to the Statement of Work (SOW), including on-time/on-budget performance, client adoption, accuracy and quality of engineered labor standards, and measurable labor productivity and operational improvement.
The LMS Manager supports the Supply Chain Practice in three areas:
- Direct project leadership and delivery support across client engagements
- Internal capability building, including documentation of project approaches, playbooks, and technical “recipes” required to deliver successful multi-site LMS implementations
- Practice development support, contributing to strategic vision and growth initiatives when requested
The LMS Manager is instrumental in client delivery and presentation, account management, and client satisfaction, and helps identify future opportunities with existing clients while building trusted-advisor relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Manager on client engagements, using Connors Group project management standards aligned to PMI/PMP best practices. Provide overall project leadership, project management, and technical expertise on project teams, including labor management software implementations, time and motion studies, work measurement, cost-benefit analysis, and process re-engineering activities.
- Understand project deliverables and the SOW and clearly communicate expectations to the project team. Deliver the project to the client’s satisfaction while meeting agreed project metrics on time and within budget.
- Drive project outcomes and performance against agreed measures, including client adoption, accuracy/quality of engineered labor standards, and labor productivity and operational improvement.
- Lead client and internal stakeholder communication, including project governance, status reporting, issue/risk management, and executive-level updates.
- Present deliverables to clients and lead implementation support.
- Develop and execute a change management plan (communications, stakeholder engagement, readiness, and adoption) and design training (e.g., supervisor/associate training and job aids) to support implementation and sustainment.
- Develop and manage project budgets and timelines in accordance with Project Manager standards; identify and mitigate engagement risks in partnership with client stakeholders.
- Continuously improve Connors Group’s technical approach to implementing Labor Management software within Supply Chain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of how to guide clients through LMS implementations (including multi-site rollouts).
- Participate in internal strategic initiatives to enhance Supply Chain offerings, including documentation of standard approaches, tools, templates, and technical playbooks.
- Review and approve project finances, including financial management of the assigned staffing complement, travel expenses, travel coordination, and project reviews.
- Coach and develop consultants/engineers by providing support and direction; deliver timely feedback and participate in performance and development conversations.
- Conduct (and/or direct) time and motion studies and work measurement activities for engineered labor standards development, cost-benefit analysis, and process improvement.
- Research emerging technologies and approaches that provide efficiency gains for client operations.
- Support Supply Chain Practice growth through situational assignments such as team communication meetings, strategy sessions, and individual strategic initiatives.
- Travel extensively (50 to 75%), sometimes independently, throughout the US and internationally.

- Demonstrates understanding of Top-Down ELS development, including Rt/Allowed Deviation and use of sensitivity analysis.
- Effectively writes technical summaries to explain work performed and recommendations.
- Demonstrates strong Excel-based abilities, including regression analysis and other data-mining techniques.
- Flexibility to work alternative hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years’ experience in a consulting role using Industrial Engineering principles, having led and managed client engagements across multiple industries.
- 3+ years’ experience in distribution operations and/or engineering.
- Expert knowledge of a Labor Management software solution in one of the following: Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or Next View.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects.
- Strong understanding of Project Manager standards and approach to managing project budgets, travel expense policy, and travel coordination.
- Knowledge of change management principles; ability to influence successful implementation of recommended solutions.
- Experience implementing end-to-end project solutions, including industry and customer research, creating strategy and project vision, solution design/development aligned to SOW, and associated change management practices.
- Demonstrated leadership with internal teams and clients; maintains a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and solve problems.
- Ability to understand and create budgets.
- Knowledge of performance management processes and systems to provide appropriate feedback to project team members.
- Strong work ethic and capability to work independently.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Mastery of core IE principles, including Labor Standards, MOST, and time studies.
- Access to reliable auto transportation and a major US airport.
Working Conditions
This position, at times, must work in challenging, non-standard environments. This could include:
- Time of day: Evenings (5 PM - 10 PM), overnight shifts (10 PM – 6 AM),
- Day of week: Weekends (Saturday/Sunday)
- Environmental: Client sites with abnormal temperatures, such as but not limited to, above 70°, between 37° and 50°, and below 32°
