This role blends leadership, mentoring, and hands-on strategy development to enhance our insurance offerings.Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end strategy for insurance methodologies across various lines (auto, home, life, health, small business).
- Define excellence for our insurance assessment frameworks in terms of user value, defensibility, transparency, and update cadence.
- Shape the roadmap for proprietary insurance metrics and how they surface in rankings and data products.
- Identify high-impact opportunities to replace or augment vendor data and help design research programs.
- Set clear goals and quality standards for analysts on insurance frameworks and data products.
- Mentor team members on insurance concepts, risk thinking, and methodology best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in insurance, with depth in at least one major line (auto, home, life, health, or small business).
- Strong understanding of how insurance products are designed, priced, and regulated in the US market.
- Experience building or overseeing analytical frameworks: scoring models, risk models, rating systems, or structured evaluations.
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of translating complex insurance concepts into clear language.
- Experience discussing complex insurance topics with non-experts.
