About This Position

This is a 2nd shift position

OVERVIEW: This individual conducts raw and finished product quality checks and documents results as required, they are also responsible for assisting the Quality Control Managers/Supervisors in monitoring production documents to meet HACCP requirements.RESPONSIBILITIES• Conduct product sampling in accordance with customer requirements.• Recognize and score product defects using customer specifications.• Conduct line pre-operational sanitation inspection.• Perform and document calibrations of all lab equipment as required.• Monitor all personnel for GMP violations and address/report violations to the appropriate person.• Report damaged and broken equipment when noticed or brought to their attention.• Keep Quality Supervisors/Managers and Production Supervisors/Managers informed of product quality status.• Work in conjunction with production and maintenance to obtain quality results.• Verify finished product documentation is complete prior to submission.• Monitor WBS quality by doing random checks.• Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSWork Experience• One year manufacturing experience desirableSkills and Knowledge• Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions.• Ability to follow and comply with quality standards.• Ability to comprehend and comply with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.• Ability to operate a PC (keyboard/mouse).ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS• Moderate exposure to wet work environment.• Normal temperature ranges between 36° to 38 °.• Lifts material/product weighing up to 30 pounds frequently (with assistance); lifts material/product weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally (with assistance).• Stands, walks, uses hands/fingers to handle or feel, uses hands/arms to reach, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls while performing functions of position.• Constant mental and visual alertness (including peripheral vision and depth perception) required to avoid serious injury to self and others and to perform quality functions of position.• Color vision may be required to perform quality function of position.• Eye, hearing, hair nets, bump hats, lab coats may be required.DISCLAIMERThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
