Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence & Data Strategy Analyst is responsible for learning the business end-to-end—architecture, engineering, operations, finance, and project delivery—and transforming firmwide data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making. This role develops dashboards, analytics tools, automation workflows, and AI-enabled solutions while collaborating closely with leadership to enhance operational performance and long-term firm strategy.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the firm’s business model, workflows, financial frameworks, and project delivery methods.
  • Analyze business performance across sectors, geographies, and service lines to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, Excel models, and automated reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, HR, marketing, and practice leaders to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources into unified reporting environments and improve data accuracy, governance, and workflows.
  • Implement automation tools and AI-enabled solutions to increase productivity and streamline processes.
  • Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership in clear, accessible formats.
  • Writes documentation to describe solution development, logic, coding, and corrections.
  • Train staff and support adoption of dashboards and tools across the firm.
  • Support annual planning, forecasting cycles, KPI development, and performance tracking.

  • Deliver accurate, timely dashboards and reporting tools that enhance decision-making.
  • Increase operational efficiency through automation and data-driven solutions.
  • Partner effectively with leadership across all business units and maintain strong internal relationships.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting environments.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Demonstrate measurable impact within the first 6–12 months through improvements in reporting, automation, and strategic insight.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle firmwide data responsibly.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.

Job Requiremetns

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required, with 3–7 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or strategic operations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Key attributes of a successful candidate include being a curious, proactive learner with strong intuition complemented by solid technical expertise. The ideal candidate is comfortable interacting with executives and practice leaders, is a systems thinker who understands how data interconnects across the firm and is an excellent visual communicator. They are practical, action-oriented, and focused on delivering solutions—not just analysis.

  • Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and data modeling / dashboard development.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and tell compelling stories with data.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or similar visualization software.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the A&E industry (architecture, engineering, design, construction) or professional services.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint) and project accounting.
  • Experience implementing AI-powered productivity or analytic tools.
  • Experience building data pipelines or automations (Power Automate, Python, etc.).
