About This Position

Description:

Mental Health Counselor (QMHP/CADC Certified)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor with QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) and CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) certifications to join our dynamic mental health team. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals seeking support for mental health and substance use challenges. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address mental health and substance use issues

- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals

- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly

- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and progress notes

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, social workers, and case managers

- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed

- Educate clients and their families about mental health, substance use, and available resources

- Ensure compliance with all licensing, ethical, and agency standards

- Development and oversight of substance abuse-related programming

- Running groups/1:1

- Documentation

- On Call rotation

Skills and Qualifications:

- QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) certification

- CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) certification (required)

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field

- Proven experience in mental health and substance use counseling

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards

- Compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach to client care
