Position Summary

We are seeking a Nurse Manager – RN to join our leadership team. The Nurse Manager is responsible for providing direction, supervision, and support to clinical staff while coordinating all clinical operations of the health center. This includes oversight of patient care, quality management, risk management, compliance, staff development, and collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional patient-centered care.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily operations of the health center, including leadership for clinical, administrative, dental, pharmacy, referral, and other staff

  • Monitor clinical support schedules and patient flow throughout the clinic

  • Establish clear goals and expectations for clinical support staff

  • Assist providers in delivering quality patient care and nursing procedures as needed

  • Ensure provider and staff task buckets are addressed accurately and timely

  • Educate staff on policy changes, insurance updates, and process improvements

  • Utilize critical thinking, conflict management, team building, and staff development to manage effectively

  • Report staffing shortages and proactively seek coverage; assume clinical duties when necessary

  • Lead site meetings, maintain accurate minutes, and conduct frequent huddles with staff and providers

  • Provide timely follow-up on patient concerns related to center operations

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; complete weekly facility checklists

  • Train staff on proper use and maintenance of clinical equipment; ensure calibration and compliance

  • Supervise and develop clinical staff; oversee scheduling, time sheets, and performance management

  • Conduct corrective actions, evaluations, and ensure certifications/licenses are current

  • Engage staff in quality measure goals; review monthly reports and chart audits for compliance

  • Oversee clinical processes using evidence-based practices per AAAHC guidelines

  • Manage health center budget and inventory control; request authorization for purchases as needed

  • Participate in training webinars and remain current with AAAHC, OSHA, NCQA, and CMS requirements

  • Serve as subject matter expert for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, ensuring compliance and staff training

  • Participate in community events and promotional activities for TFHC

General Duties
  • Model and support TFHC’s Mission, Vision, and Values

  • Complete personnel action forms and maintain accurate time sheets

  • Implement and uphold all TFHC policies and procedures

  • Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation agency protocols

  • Maintain proper supply inventories and infection control standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school

  • Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Current BLS certification

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred

  • Experience in primary health care or public health nursing preferred

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of TFHC policies and procedures

  • Proficiency in navigating and entering data into an EHR

  • Ability to mentor and empower staff while fostering a cohesive care team environment
