Bid Coordinator

Position: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Required Education: HS Diploma and/or GED Equivalent

About the Position:

Block Iron is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bid Coordinator to join our team. This entry-level role is a critical part of our bidding and sales process, responsible for gathering, organizing and managing information to help our company make well-informed bidding and sales decisions This is an excellent opportunity to begin a long-term career with advancement potential within our growing business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Compile and organize all invitations-to-bid and related project documentation for Division 8 projects.

• Conduct preliminary project scoping to determine size, materials, and schedules.

• Download and manage construction documents, and occasionally print bid packages.

• Attend regular bid and sales meetings to support the estimating and sales teams.

• Communicate effectively with estimators, sales staff and customers to distribute to project details.

• Field phone calls and coordinate with clients regarding bid information, project timelines, and updates.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of all bid materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

• Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Gmail, Drive).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both verbal and written.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Detail-oriented with strong work ethic.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Familiarity with blueprint reading and specification interpretation is preferred, but not required.
