About This Position
Position Summary
The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for writing and coordinating high-level communications for internal and external audiences. Projects include a variety of communications tactics including: talking points, speeches and other communications for executive leadership team, donor development letters, newsletters and magazine articles, web content, social media and other marketing collateral for a broad range of stakeholders. Work as an integrated member of the Marketing/Community Relations team, as well as the Development team as needed. Assists with editing and writing for other marketing, internal and executive communications, as assigned.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
- Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
- Write and edit high-level communications for internal and external audiences. Examples include: talking points, speeches and other communications for executive leadership team, donor development letters, newsletters and magazine articles, web content, social media and other marketing collateral for a broad range of stakeholders.
- Research content, develops concepts and messages, as well as draft copy, edit, and proofread.
- Coordinate multiple copy projects simultaneously with little or no supervision while ensuring they meet required quality standards and deadlines.
- Work as part of a project team that includes other members of the Marketing/Community Relations and other departments, senior leadership, medical staff, external vendors, and other internal stakeholders.
- Attend events for hands-on reporting and photography support.
- Build relationships with key staff and participates in hospital activities and events.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or Journalism or experience in related field. Seven years of experience in a healthcare environment, in developing communications materials and in copywriting/editing, promotional writing, reporting/interviewing, or other position which requires the highest level of written communications and interpersonal skills.
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (based on Full Time)
