POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to History Market customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Greet and assist customers/visitors of the History Market.
2. Point of sale (POS) operations including basic sales, phone orders, website orders, shipping, opening and closing. procedures and deposits according to policy.
3. Maintain the store’s appearance and inventory with high aesthetic and organization standards.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

1. Ability to exercise excellent customer service.
2. Basic computer skills; willingness to learn new systems like Altru.
3. Strong communication skills for a variety of audiences.
4. Ability to handle cash and make appropriate change.
5. Flexibility to work an adjusted work schedule which will include weekends and occasional evenings and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Movement – Stooping, Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching In order to reach & pick up items
Standing – Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Wrist & Visual Stamina – Ability to type and focus on a computer screen for prolonged periods of time

SCHEDULE:
The History Market is open from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday through Saturday with extended hours during holidays and special events. Position is 8-12 hours (1-2 shifts) per week. There is flexibility in working 8-hour shifts or 3–4-hour shifts. Position will be needed most often on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

PAY AND BENEFITS:
