POSITION SUMMARY

Vivacity Infrastructure Group is seeking a Legal Intern skilled in assisting General Counsel with legal research, drafting documents, managing case files and providing administrative support to join our team. As a Legal Intern, you observe or assist with client conferences and contribute to various legal projects.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Legal research: Conduct in-depth research on statutes, case law, regulations, and legal articles to support case preparation and legal memoranda.

• Document drafting: Help General Counsel draft a variety of legal documents, including memos, briefs, motions, complaints, clauses and contracts, under supervision.

• Contracts review: Review documents for accuracy and clarity, confirm accuracy of parties, dates, payments, and scopes of work. Identify and flag potential risks and legal compliance issues.

• Client support: Aid in client communication, including managing correspondence with external parties.

• Administrative tasks: Handle general office duties like organizing files, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars to provide support to the legal team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Currently enrolled in, or starting in the fall at, an accredited law school

Experience

• Research skills: Experience in legal research using tools like Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Fastcase.

• Technical skills: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal practice management software.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

• Confidentiality: The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Writing skills: Excellent written communication, with the ability to draft clear, accurate, and concise legal documents and correspondence.

• Communication: Strong verbal and interpersonal skills for interacting professionally with clients, witnesses, and colleagues.

• Attention to detail: A high degree of accuracy and meticulousness is required when reviewing and preparing legal documents.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The incumbent is occasionally required to walk or stand for long periods of time. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent will work in a semi-quiet office environment.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
