Summary
Brain Injury Community Center Interns are members of a team responsible for providing high quality services to individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
Schedule: 1-5 Days Per Week. The Community Center will run from Monday to Friday with some evening and weekend hours as needed. Hours per week will vary on client's rotation of community center hours or other department hours.

Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for running each class that the individuals have selected, ensuring the hours of operation are met each week.
- Responsible for producing accurate, legible, and timely documentation for Individuals.
- Responsible for contributing ideas for program design and activities that are appropriate for the individuals to the program manager.
- Work with individuals on their goals through wellness, stress management, nutrition, and community recreation activities.
- Responsible for the health, safety and well-being of Individuals served, seeking assistance and medical interventions as appropriate.
- Assists Individuals in attaining their personal goals and provides individualized support when necessary. Act as an advocate for the client to ensure that their opinions are heard regarding services provided.
- Provides constructive input into program activities and outings.
- Help the program manager to organize and facilitate social functions within the center as well as in the community.
- Ensures that all information regarding Individuals is maintained with the highest level of confidentiality based on the policies and procedures regarding protected health information.
- Attend and actively participate in mandatory staff meetings and trainings as well as supervision meetings.
- Support the learning of Individuals by use of motivational techniques, effective interventions, and various communication approaches including verbal and written communication.
