About This Position
Position: Banquet Captain

Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager

As we prepare to open the doors to Charleston’s newest luxury destination, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Banquet Captain to join our culinary team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Showcasing your unique personality, creativity and skills in any food you cook to create a memorable dining experience with your food!
• Collaborate with your team members in the Banquet kitchen, with banquet staff (managers and servers) and provide support and updates throughout Banquet service.
• Work in a team and sometimes autonomously and be responsible for the management of your workstation.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, breaks and dinner as stated in the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
• Execute all Banquet Kitchen tasks, including but not limited to plated dinners, buffet, breaks, and buffet /carving stations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Tips Trained and Food Handlers certification are required; training will be provided as needed.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Creative and passionate about food and customer service.
• A positive, can-do attitude and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, exciting environment while working alongside a diverse group of colleagues
• Skilled in communicating with colleagues and naturally engaging with all.
• A desire to learn and grow in a professional Kitchen environment.
