About This Position
Education: Graduated from an accredited LPN program and current Florida LPN license.
Experience: Two years of experience working with MH population.
Negative Drug Screening prior to hire and throughout employment
Clear Criminal Background Check

Job Duties:
- Writes and files progress notes for all injection and lab work. Completes documentation in a timely manner and includes all pertinent information relating to clients and their care.
- Performs injections during scheduled injection groups at 4024 Central and possibly other locations.
- Performs blood draws during scheduled Clozaril Clinic and Lab Work Clinic.
- Manages medication line in an appropriate time frame.
- Monitors for side effects and informs medical staff if present.
- Refers clients attending injection clinic for medication visits and updated MSE at appropriate intervals.
- Orders medications and supplies.
- Makes lab slips and maintain lab and supplies.
- Maintains Biohazard Materials. Disposes of same according to OSHA standards.
- Complies with established nursing practices and procedures and adheres to Center polices/procedures.
- Performs duties in a manner that does not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of the employees or others.
- Accomplishes individual goals set forth in previous evaluation.
- Peer review results within acceptable agency standards.
- Serves client in a warm, accepting, and respectful manner. Does not impose his/her values during the service contract.
- Encourages client’s involvement and independence by encouraging participation and not accepting responsibility for the client’s behaviors, cognitions or feelings.
- Shows flexibility, accepts additional duties as assigned by Psychiatric Medical Director and is responsive to requests from supervisors.
- May provide community consultation and education services in selected situations.
- Auditing results within acceptable agency standards.
- Answer Medline and respond to client requests for medications.
- Manage Zyprexa Relprev group including 0bservation and coordination of transport by Case Management Aides (CMA).
- Manages medical staff meeting schedule and act as Liaison as indicated between internal and external contacts for meeting.
- Obtain training relevant to job.
