Education

Completion of high school or its equivalent and CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT). Knowledge of computer software such as Windows, Office and Internet use. Ability to perform support activities in patient care as required through completion of an CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) Certification Examination.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting, with responsibilities including direct patient care, rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and other intake elements. Candidates must demonstrate competency in patient care and safety practices. Previous experience in a clinic or outpatient setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-paced clinic environment are essential.

Normal clinical environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant fumes and odors. Close eye work. Hearing within normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching. Occasional stress related to patient load.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for performing assigned patient care activities and assisting licensed nursing personnel. Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, licensed nurse, licensed physician, or designee. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by facility. Attendance is an essential function of this job.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of clinical supervisor or licensed physician, responsible for providing direct and/or indirect care to all patients visiting the clinic according to policy guidelines. Assists the clinical supervisor or licensed physician in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for the patients as appropriate. Documents condition, treatments, and care giving. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by the hospital. Attendance is an essential function of this job.
