About This Position
Island Hospitality Management is currently seeking a Corporate Controller to lead all accounting functions over the outdoor hospitality division. This department leader will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Accounting and oversee all accounting policies and procedures across the portfolio.
This position may require flexible scheduling availability.
Requirements:Job Requirements:
- Direct and coordinate accounting operational functions
- Prepare monthly accruals
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate and prepare internal financial statements on a timely basis
- Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes
- Coordinate information with external auditors
- Manage 3rd party owner relationships
- Maintain financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Job Qualifications:
- CPA (active license) and bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college
- Strong knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical, research, strategic planning, and communication skills
- Financial Statement preparation experience
- General Outdoor Hospitality accounting experience
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting or finance Team management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products
- JD Edwards software knowledge is a plus
