General Statement of Responsibilities

Performs general production duties in a J.I.T. manufacturing system, e.g. – Employee Involvement, Total Quality, Continuous Improvement, Housekeeping, Elimination of Waste, Communication, Coordination, etc. that meets production and customer requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Operates Heading and/or Boltmaking Equipment

· Operates measurement and test equipment required to ensure that quality requirements are met.

· Records statistical process control data.

· Housekeeping

· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

· Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions.

· Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and written instructions.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

May be used for any assignments:

· Set-up of machines.

· Cellular manufacturing requirements (such as sorting, packaging, etc.)

· Training other employees.

· Trouble-shooting on any operations.

· Operation of mobile equipment

· Performing machine repair.

· Minor periodic maintenance and lubrication

· Minor servicing of oil mist/smoke collectors
