About This Position
Position Summary:
This role involves building and wiring electrical control panels and related components in a production environment. The position includes working with hand tools, interpreting technical documentation, and supporting panel assembly from layout through final testing. This role reports to the Subassembly Floor Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and wire electrical control panels in a fast-paced production setting
Read and interpret electrical schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering drawings
Lay out, drill, tap, and mount components within electrical enclosures
Perform panel wiring and complete mechanical or pneumatic assembly as needed
Use hand tools and equipment such as drills, saws, knockout punches, and multimeters
Inspect completed work by checking continuity and performing basic functional testing
Follow written and verbal work instructions to meet quality and production standards
Operate a forklift if required (training provided)
Qualifications:
Experience with electrical panel wiring or similar hands-on assembly work
Ability to read and understand schematics and electrical documentation
Familiarity with AC/DC control circuits and basic electrical principles
Understanding of electromechanical systems and components
Experience with UL 508A standards is a plus
Comfortable using common hand tools and measurement devices
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a multitask environment
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a production setting
