Your Role

We are looking for a seasoned Human Resources Generalist to lead and execute core HR functions across the organization. This is a highly visible role requiring frequent interaction with employees at all levels, including the Executive Leadership Team and the CEO. Responsibilities include recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, policy development, and managing the employee lifecycle. You will also deliver HR metrics and workforce analytics to guide strategic decision‑making.

Responsibilities will include:

Human Resources Functions:

  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, including planning, posting, screening, interview coordination, and offer management.
  • Oversee onboarding to ensure an engaging, seamless experience.
  • Provide guidance to employees and leaders on employee relations and policy application.
  • Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage all employee lifecycle processes, including promotions, performance support, and terminations.
  • Produce HR metrics, dashboards, and analytical reports to support decisions.
  • Maintain and optimize HRIS systems and employee records.
  • Partner with leadership on HR insights, workforce planning, and organizational initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Support a positive, high‑performance culture aligned with company values.

Payroll Functions:

  • Oversee monthly full‑cycle payroll and ensure compliance with federal and provincial requirements.
  • Manage benefits administration across Canada and the U.S.
  • Coordinate with the U.S. PEO to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain payroll records and manage tax and deduction information.
  • Respond promptly to payroll inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate remittances to CRA and other agencies.

Admin Functions:

  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling and correspondence.
  • Complete additional tasks as needed.

Your Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, ideally as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple HR disciplines, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and policy execution.
  • Strong experience producing HR metrics and workforce analytics.
  • Hands‑on experience with HRIS platforms (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving abilities.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience in high‑growth or fast‑paced environments including tech, SaaS, or startups.
  • Background in building or refining HR processes.
  • Experience supporting organizational scaling.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics tools and dashboarding.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing HRIS systems.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve HR efficiency.
  • PCP designation or progress toward completion.
  • CPHR designation or active progress toward completion is preferred.
