REGISTERED NURSE

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
-
The Same Day Surgery Nurse under the supervision of the Same Day Surgery Manager is responsible for the nursing care of Same Day Surgery patients assigned to him/her, and to direct others in patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Professional/Educational
-
Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
-
Current Illinois license with biennial renewal.
-
Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
-
Advanced Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
-
BSN preferred.
-
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Personal
-
Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy and honesty.

Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
-
Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
-
Is able to work flexible hours as the schedule varies.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
