As Project Engineer manages you all technical aspects of the entire lifecycle of engineered pump projects from initial handover through commissioning. This role ensures compliance with customer specifications, internal engineering standards, and project requirements while coordinating across customers, vendors, and internal teams. The Project Engineer provides technical leadership, documentation control, and support during commissioning to deliver reliable and high‑quality pumping systems in close cooperation with the Project Management team.

Key Responsibilities
Project Initiation & Technical Review
• Receive and review formal technical handover documentation.
• Review all project documents, specifications, contractual requirements, and customer standards.
• Prepare and review Vendor Document Requirement Lists (VDRL), where applicable.
• Ensure technical scope alignment with customer and project requirements.
Engineering & Documentation
• Prepare and review technical shop drawings in accordance with customer and project requirements.
• Review, address, and formally respond to customer comments.
• Issue approved shop drawings to vendors and internal teams.
• Review and verify technical documentation for in-house manufacturing and assembly activities.


Vendor & Cost Control
• Review and approve vendor purchase orders to ensure technical compliance and cost accuracy.
• Amend project cost sheets as required and obtain management approval.
• Review vendor and factory order confirmations (OCs) for scope, pricing, and technical accuracy.


Testing, Quality & Compliance
• Coordinate and arrange witnessing tests with customers, where applicable.
• Review, evaluate, and approve test reports.
• Support and ensure closure of Non Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Controls & Systems
• Configure and program Amacontrol systems, where required by project scope.


Logistics & Handover
• Prepare detailed packing lists, including photographic records where applicable.
• Conduct technical handovers to the Commissioning team.
• Lead and participate in formal handover meetings between Project Engineering, Project Administration, and Commissioning teams.
• Travel to site where required to support with commissioning process

Travel

• Travel to customer sites, vendor facilities, or work locations may be required to support commissioning activities, witness testing, technical evaluations, or other project needs.
• Travel may include day trips or short-duration stays depending on project scope and requirements

Required Qualification, Skills & Competency

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in the pump industry, rotating equipment, or fluid‑handling systems.
• Strong understanding of pump hydraulics, mechanical systems, and instrumentation/controls.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Experience with vendor coordination, factory acceptance testing, and quality procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Desired but not essential:

• Familiarity with KSB pump products, automation packages, and Amacontrol systems.
• Experience with documentation control systems, ERP systems, and engineering workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills

Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent

Pay:

$85,000 - $95,000
