DFI - Dallas, TX - Support Unit Driver (DFI) at LSG Sky Chefs – Dallas, Texas

Description of the job, responsibilities and duties:

The Support Unit Driver is responsible for driving to the field and acting as standby for customer calls to supplement flights with necessary supplies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing excellent service to internal and external customers
• Loading unit van with supplemental supplies to be used during shift
• Maintaining log of items supplemented to flights and acquire signature of recipient for billing purposes.
• Guiding drivers on and off of aircraft as needed and in accordance with AOA guidelines.
• Providing support to drivers and other customer services employees as needed.
• Complying with Company SOPs Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintaining professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Working as a member of the LSG Sky Chefs team to ensure the highest quality product is delivered to our airline customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow instructions and safety conscious.
• Excellent English communications and customer service skills required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle high pressure and time sensitive situations.
• Must be able to climb stairs several times a day.
• Ability to lift & carry up to 50 lbs.
• DOT Physical and agility test required
• Must pass training course for final certification
• Must have a current valid Texas DL
• Must be able to obtain an AOA badge & customs sticker

Applicants Must Be Able to:

• Work assigned schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays
• Work overtime when required.
• Pass a criminal background and an airport /TSA background check.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required

Environmental Requirements:

• Will be exposed to various temperature changes (hot and cold) and noise.
• This position requires to be active, walking, heavy lifting and pushing 50+ lbs.
• Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
