This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Sr. Cloud Engineer will work closely with architecture, security, and engineering teams to implement best-in-class Azure cloud practices, drive automation, and ensure operational excellence across multiple SaaS environments. You will take ownership of cloud infrastructure deployments, optimize resources for cost and performance, and participate in the ongoing evolution of cloud security and governance. This position involves hands-on technical delivery, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and occasional on-call support, providing a mix of strategic and practical challenges for an experienced cloud professional. The ideal candidate is skilled in cloud-native services, infrastructure as code, and multiple programming languages, and thrives in environments that combine agility, innovation, and technical rigor.
Accountabilities:- Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud-based solutions that are secure, scalable, and highly available
- Govern and maintain SaaS environments while ensuring compliance with cloud security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with architecture and security teams to implement best practices and enforce governance standards
- Automate cloud infrastructure deployments and operational processes using scripting, IaC tools (Bicep, ARM, Terraform), and configuration management
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud-related issues promptly to maintain system performance and reliability
- Optimize Azure resources to balance cost efficiency with performance and reliability
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and provide occasional after-hours support to ensure service continuity
Requirements:
- 710 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or Agile software development environments
- Strong experience with Azure cloud-native services (function apps, container apps, web apps, storage accounts) and Azure networking (VWAN, Front Door, etc.)
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as C#, Java/Scala, JavaScript/Node.js, TypeScript, or Python
- Preferred experience designing highly available cloud systems and infrastructure configurations
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to integrate solutions across engineering teams
- Willingness to participate in rotational on-call support
