Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, optimizing financial processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and overseeing HR and payroll functions. This is a confidential position that requires a high level of integrity and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight:
  • Provide leadership in all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Monitor financial performance against established targets and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in company procedures.
  • Financial Strategy:
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall goals and objectives of the company.
  • Internal Controls:
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls in line with HighGround’s standards and procedures, to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend enhancements internal control systems.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports as required by company leadership and HighGround.
  • Budgeting:
  • Lead the brand level budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and manage budgets.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide guidance for cost control.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage and develop the finance team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the department.
  • Financial Technology:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Payroll:
  • Manage payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Stay current with payroll regulations and implement necessary changes in payroll procedures.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration between payroll and HR functions.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working in residential services strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple locations/brands.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
