Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently hiring English Language Teachers to provide in-person, customized lessons to our clients in Portland, OR.

Job Information C194960:

• This is a small group class for a mom and two children.
  •  Availability: 1 lesson on Mo - Fr 4-6 pm and 1 lesson on the weekend
  •  Lesson Location: Portland, OR 97229 (near Hensen Ridge Park on 4075 NW 147th Ave, & NW Kaiser Rd)
  •  Preferred start date: asap
  •  Lesson Frequency: 2x per week, 45-minute lessons
  •  Native and other spoken languages: German
  •  Student’s language needs and goals: Conversation with teachers, craftsmen, friends, neighbors, and learn idioms and common phrases.
  •  Additional Information: structured lessons with conversation practice

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students' progress and guiding learners towards learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the English language
• To have a degree in education, elementary education, languages, or a related field
• To have a minimum of two years of teaching English experience
• Experience working with children in structured lessons is a must
