Brief Job Overview/Summary

The EOF program is designed to meet the educational and financial needs of students who are capable and motivated. However, they may lack adequate preparation and/or the financial means for college.

Students admitted into Stockton University as EOF first-time, first-year students must successfully complete the EOF Summer Academy before their first academic semester at Stockton. Stockton University houses two EOF programs: the Galloway EOF Program and the Atlantic City EOF Program. The EOF Summer Academy runs from June 28th through July 23rd on the Galloway campus and is designed to develop the skills, character, and discipline needed for success at Stockton. This rigorous program is designed to help students develop their foundation in college-level reading, writing, and mathematics. Additionally, students are equipped with knowledge, information, and resources to help them transition academically and socially to Stockton University.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

he EOFSA Program Assistant position is a 5-week mandatory-live on position from June 22nd - July 24th, which includes one week of training. The EOFSA Support Assistant will report directly to their assigned Student Success Coaches.

• Live on campus for the duration of the Academy, including training week.
• Provide EOFSA office support and program support when needed as a floater.
• Assist in ensuring scholars are present and accounted for during all program activities, events, and curfew.
• Assist in nightly room checks and maintain visibility within the residential community.
• Serve as a Stockton resource guide and support students in their transition to college life.
• Assist with roommate conflict mediation and floor meetings.
• Uphold the university Code of Conduct and Residential Life policies.
• Identify and refer students of concern to Residential Coordinators and Student Success Coaches and submit appropriate reports.
• Participate in daily check-ins with Coordinators and EOF staff.
• Assist with move-in, move-out, and weekend home check-in/out procedures.
• Develop and facilitate at least one workshop promoting holistic student success.
• Conduct one-on-one review sessions with underperforming students and provide follow-up to Student Success Coaches and faculty.
• Submit daily academic check-ins to Academic Coordinators.
• Document and report medical, behavioral, psychological, or academic concerns per EOF and university guidelines.
• Provide transportation when needed.

Training, June 22-26th: 9:00am-4:30pm
EOF Activity Day, June 30th: 1:30pm-6:00pm
Program Duration: June 28- July 22nd - daily schedule varies based on need, including weekends
Mandatory Debrief day Friday, July 24th: 9:00am-3:00pm

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled Stockton University student.
• Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Completion of at least one full year (two semesters) of college coursework.
• Must have a valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mentoring, tutoring, teaching, or coaching experience with at-risk or first-generation students.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, technological, and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
• Understanding of EOF Program mission and goals.
