Position Summary

Zachry Construction is seeking a Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver to transport materials to and from construction sites. The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company trucks, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensuring loads are properly secured and delivered efficiently. This position requires attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in varying conditions.

What You'll Do

• Transport rock, sand, and other construction materials to and from specified locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Supervise the loading of materials onto the truck and ensure proper tarping of loads.
• Safely operate the truck in all weather and road conditions.
• Dump materials in designated areas and verify proper placement.
• Ensure materials being transported comply with weight and type restrictions.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or mechanical issues promptly to management.
• Comply with all DOT laws, company safety policies, and procedures.
• Perform additional labor-related duties as assigned by supervision.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a dump truck.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Clean driving record and working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and truck maintenance.
• Ability to take direction and follow assigned routes effectively.
• Physical ability to climb in and out of the cab and operate equipment safely.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform stooping, bending, kneeling, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, and climbing.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and task-oriented with a focus on safety.
