Transport Driver at Lew Thompson and Son Trucking – Huntsville, Arkansas

The Transport Driver is responsible for the safe and operation of tractors for loading/unloading poultry onto transport vehicles using specialized equipment, while adhering to animal welfare standards and biosecurity protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors to transport turkeys through live haul tunnel and navigating traffic of tunnel
• Drop and Hook trailers
• Monitor and record weight metrics for loaded or unloaded trailer
• Follow strict biosecurity procedures to prevent spread of disease
• Wash and inspect trailer equipment Maintain adequate fuel levels by refueling equipment daily

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to lift and handle live poultry for extended periods of time
• Able to operate and maintain loading equipment
• Ability to work outdoors, exposed weather conditions

Education/Experience

• Valid driver's license
