This role offers a highly visible leadership opportunity within a dynamic investment banking environment, focused on delivering exceptional advisory services to clients in the industrials and business services sectors. The Investment Banking Director will manage complex M&A and strategic advisory engagements, guiding transactions from inception to completion while maintaining strong client relationships. The position requires a balance of technical financial expertise, project management, and business development skills, with the ability to lead deal teams and provide actionable insights to senior executives. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to structure deals, analyze financial models, and prepare compelling client materials. The role combines autonomy with teamwork in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting, offering a chance to influence both client outcomes and organizational growth.
Accountabilities:- Manage day-to-day client relationships and oversee all aspects of deal execution, including coordination of deal teams.
- Conduct and review financial due diligence, develop valuation models (DCF, LBO, comparables), and perform complex financial analyses.
- Prepare and oversee pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials.
- Identify and engage prospective buyers or strategic partners, supporting all steps of transaction execution.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with current and potential clients.
- Mentor and train junior bankers, contributing to team development and firm-building initiatives.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of sell-side M&A advisory and investment banking experience, preferably in industrials or business services sectors.
- Strong academic credentials from a top-tier institution.
- Advanced financial modeling, analysis, and valuation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to present complex concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage and lead deal teams in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, and team-oriented with strong business development capabilities.
- Familiarity with financial data platforms such as S&P Capital IQ and online data rooms.
- FINRA Series licenses or the ability to obtain required licenses.
